A relative of a D staffer with first-hand knowledge of the goings-on at the newly closed Bella Restaurant & Bar in Uptown let us in on an interesting tidbit: turns out that Bella’s owners not only ceased operations last Thursday night, but also ransacked the place in a dark-of-the-night flee, making off with tables, chairs, walk-in coolers, ovens, and cook tops. Need we also point out that they bailed on their lease?
At least they appropriated some booze from behind the bar on their way out. That should help with any pesky remorse that might pop up.
