Had dinner at the Oak Cliff Mediterranean grill the other night. (Shout out to the overserved party of four and the woman who could barely make it to the door upon exiting. Classy.) The chicken livers appetizer is — alas — no more. But Kavala’s Christmas catering menu looks tasty: roasted leg of lamb with kalamata olive thyme sauce and a choice of two sides such as caramelized cauliflower, polenta with roasted mushrooms, roasted lemon oregano potatoes, or warm spinach with bacon vinaigrette for $95. The dinner serves four people. Sure beats your typical holiday spread.
