Report from L.A: Madeo

|
Image

As Nove was closing on Saturday night, I was dining on fine upscale Northern Italian food at Madeo in West Hollywood. The room is cozy and sexy with curved booths filled with industry types and movie stars. The food is magnificent. My pitiful photo doesn’t do justice to a holy plate of heavenly ravioli stuffed with spinach covered with an oh-so-delicate sage butter sauce. Pan-seared veal with roasted potatoes and garlic spinach was equally divine. The desserts were as pretty as the dashing couple a few tables over–Carey Lowell and her hunk-of-a-husband. The desserts they make in house are spoonfuls of spirituality–the ladyfingers of the tiramisu are gently soaked in rum; the panna cotta, like Gere, is cool and rich.

UPDATE: Look here. And here.
