Office Project Will Be Built With Recycled Shipping Containers

Box Office Warehouse Suites in North Fort Worth is just the latest development to use intermodal freight containers.

Refurbished shipping containers, aka intermodal freight containers, have been popping up in developments all over North Texas. The adaptable and affordable structures have been used for home-building in Dallas, for example. Others are being incorporated into the cutting-edge design at the new Legacy (Food) Hall in Plano. And now, more than 100 of the containers will be used to create nearly 40 multi-use business suites at a new office development in North Fort Worth called Box Office Warehouse Suites. Units at the Box Office project, which is being developed by serial entrepreneur Ron Sturgeon, will start at $875 a month for 320 square feet, Dallas Innovates reports. Sturgeon’s venture follows another office project near downtown Fort Worth, called Connex, which also is based on recycled shipping containers, Dallas Innovates says.
