Mayor Miller’s assistant e-mailed a bunch of us media folk last night. He was all excited. He and the mayor might be “shuttling hurricane survivors from the city shelters into their new homes starting tomorrow in our own cars” as early as this morning. Is it just a plea for someone to bite on a photo-op? Cynics would say yes. But it seems more than that to me. The mayor is showing how strong she can be, even if she has to use her own car.
