DMN columnist Alan Peppard may be headed for a rehab center soon. There is little doubt that the dapper social reporter is doing something different these days. He’s actually going to events he writes about. And filing said stories on the same night! (There is scandal lurking somewhere.) Last night Peppard broke saki barrels with Bobby DeNiro and Nobu Matsuhisha at the soft opening of Nobu and managed to turn in a story by 10:26pm. I put three scouts on the scene and so far the only report I’ve received was a giddy phone call from one who cooed, “Robert DeNiro is standing right next to me.” Ladies, the facts please. Evolving, I hope.
