FORD PULLS ADS FROM CHANNEL 8

|

Last week, Channel 8 aired an investigative report about “sudden acceleration” in Ford Explorers. The piece was done by the great Brett Shipp and the guys who really do all Shipp’s work, Mark Smith and Kraig Kirchem. I’d link to the report, but it doesn’t appear to be on their Web site. Maybe that’s because the investigation so angered local and regional Ford dealers that they pulled $2.8 million in advertising from Channel 8 for the rest of the year.

Shame, shame, shame on you, Ford dealers. Punishing Channel 8 will not fix your (alleged) sudden acceleration problems. (Does Ford advertise with D Magazine?)
