FLASHBACK On Feb. 11, 1936, the Dallas City Council heard women’s clubs’ complaints against the “taxi dancers” at the Wonder Bar and Triangle Club. The women claimed that the dancers, who were otherwise unemployed and charged 10 cents per dance, had “unwholesome influences In the moral life of the community.” The council took no action.
