Inclement weather was on the agenda for Saturday night’s Cattle Baron’s Ball 2012, but exactly what that entailed was not. By the time we made it to the first tent, I had a perm and mud covered boots (see boots above). Today my calves are sore from strenuously navigating patches of muddy quick sand. But it’s what you make of it, right? Several people left for fear their cars would sink after hearing horror stories of the epic CBB of 2009. While thousands stayed on and the bidding trucked along. Nonetheless, spirits were high, the staff was eagerly accommodating, and Blake Shelton, bandless, seriously delivered. This was our first Cattle Baron’s experience and it was truly amazing. I can only imagine what it will be like in all its grandeur splendor.
