I’m somewhat lazy when it comes to prepping food accoutrements and Harold’s Savory Texicunyns is one of my favorite shortcuts. The sliced onions are jarred in vinegar, a dash of sugar, habaneros, salt and citric acid and are perfect on top of hamburgers, hotdogs, and sandwiches. They also make for a great surprise in omelets, deviled eggs and quesadillas. I prefer them over fresh, chopped onions in several dishes, actually.

Harold’s Savory Texicunyns is a product of Conscious Choice Foods, a Dallas-based company popular for their chemical-free and pickled products. Along with Texicunyns, they make Frances Cowley’s Cellar Style Dill Pickles, Harold’s Texicun Gormay Purdy Hot ‘r Dern Hot Pickuls, Sissy Sweet Pickuls, and the Original Beer Pickle. The products are made with Non-GMO ingredients and are gluten-free, too.

Conscious Choice products are sold in more than 38 retail locations across the Dallas area. To learn more about their pickled pleasures and where to buy them visit their website at www.consciouschoicefoods.com
