Restaurant Review: Proof + Pantry in Dallas

I’m sure you know more about the politics of Proof + Pantry than you do about the food. Eve Hill-Agnus takes a serious look at the food coming out of the kitchen.

I’m sure you know more about the politics of Proof + Pantry than you do about the food. Co-owners Michael Martensen and Sal Jafar II are the proprietors who exercised their right to express their feelings about what they consider to be a flawed star-rating system in place at the Dallas Morning News. They aren’t alone, but they, along with Shannon Wynne (Meddlesome Moth, Lark in the Park, Bird Café), have been the most vocal. D Magazine writer Eve Hill-Agnus waited for the debate to subside before she took a serious look at the cooking coming out of the kitchen. She focused her fine eye for detail and precise palate and presents a thoughtful report on her experiences at Proof + Pantry.
