Local pastry chef known as Joe the Baker will appear on tonight’s episode of Food Network’s new ice cream competition show, King of Cones. Joe the Baker has created desserts at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Texas Spice, Spoon Bar and Kitchen. He has also been an instructor at Le Cordon Bleu, Dallas.

Four dessert professionals compete in their first challenge to capture the taste and look of summer’s favorite destination – the beach! Next the competitors’ ice cream concoctions must whisk away the judges on a tasty tour de France. Dessert giants Nancy Silverton, Zac Young, and ice cream tester John Harrison judge four ice cream makers as they duke it out for $10,000 and the title of King of Cones.
