oilrdDear Central Market,

I am truly sorry for writing this post on the last day of Passport Italia. Your two-week festival featuring the foods of Italy has been spectacular. Walking through the aisles and eyeing all of the luscious treats has been delicious.

My favorite section was the olive oil tasting table. I have been back three times to sample almost all of the imported bottles not normally stocked. Once  a well-informed gentleman  assisted me in a blind tasting. I chose the two pictured: The Hulivia o7 EVOO for the grassy, slightly pungent, and fruity notes and the Tuscan Fiore del Frantoio EVOO for the buttery start and peppery finish.

Thanks for the discount: If you buy one bottle of olive oil for $19.99 or more, you can pick any bottle under $19.99 and take it home for free. I paid $24.99 for the Hulivia and received the Fiore del Frantoio ($18.99) per niente!

I encourage all olive oil lovers to drop what you are doing and head to the nearest Central Market. Un milione di grazie!

Nancito
