Neal Stewart’s list of five things to have right now excites and inspires me. The Anchored Candy #1 bench from Vivian Beer is “steel calligraphy in 3D”— think about that phrase for a bit, wish I had come up with it. He’s using shimmery metallic paints—among his favorites are Benjamin Moore pearelescent white and Martha Stewart silver leaf. And, leave it to my friend to come up with one of the coolest outdoor lights I’ve ever seen. The Hailey LED outdoor light from Vibia Light is a disappearing arc of light that comes in different shapes and sizes. He discovered it in a magazine and ordered for a client—my question to him is why he didn’t get one for me, too. He also is a big fan of Mikyung Chun’s new showroom Promemoria—basically having anything from this jewel box is going to instantly raise your style status. He’s using hand made, hand painted glass tiles from Deborah Hart, I love this watery blue. There you have it—just a little glimpse into the elusive Mr. Stewart’s brilliant mind.
