See Philip Glass in the flesh tonight.
See Philip Glass in the flesh tonight.

Obviously, Philip Glass is just about the biggest deal in town tonight.

Tickets to his chamber concert—featuring the composer on his keyboard and the violinist Tim Fain playing music Glass wrote especially for him—are still available, including more reasonable $50 seats in the Dress Circle. Anyway, it should be a beautiful night. If you can, it’s a good opportunity to check out CBD Provisions, the restaurant that took over the space once inhabited by Charlie Palmer at the Joule. Nancy reviewed it in our March issue, but you can read it right this very second. You, too, can eat an entire pig head.

Also tonight, the intriguingly gloomy singer Angel Olsen has a show at Three Links, with opening acts Cian Nugent and Nicholas Altobelli. Her second album, which I quite like, was produced by none other than Dallas’ John Congleton. Expect plenty of tracks from Burn Your Fire For No Witness.

Finally, Dallas is back on TV tonight without J.R. Ewing. Over on FrontRow, we’ll be back with our expert recapper, Terry Linwood, after the Southfork dust settles. Here’s where we left off last season.
