Breast cancer’s no laughing matter, but Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano has hit on a way to raise awareness of the disease and have some fun at the same time. Organizers of today’s Pink Pooch Parade at the hospital attracted dozens of Baylor pet-therapy dogs in costume for the third straight year, and awarded prizes in three categories. Full disclosure: My better half (shown here) spent hours making the Pink Shaggy Dog outfit (at left) for our Australian shepherd Faux Marble, who won–along with her half-sibling Nellie, a bearded collie–in the Cutest category.
