1. The Star-T notes some people are upset about our cover line, “Why You Should Hate Southlake.” As Pegasus News says, it’s not that hard a concept to understand, folks. I do get offended when they say we wrote that headline “just to sell magazines.” I mean, we also wrote it to please Wick. It’s what we live for.

2. Dallas is one of only five markets in the country where home prices rose (albeit slightly) through July, but that’s mostly because our median home price has lagged the rest of the country’s.

3. There’s debate over whether red-light cameras are financially sensible for the cities that install them. That hasn’t stopped North Texas from installing nearly 150 of them in and around Dallas.
