Somehow I missed it yesterday, but Sting’s son, Joe Sumner, is the lead singer of the band Fiction Plane, otherwise known as the band that played the free lunchtime concert at LFT today.
Those who were there can weigh in on this one, but a well-placed FBvian sends along these tidbits:
…the folks at Victory Tavern hosted Joe Sumner and his bandmates (Pete Wilhoit and Seton Daunt) at the restaurant for a tuna burger (no meat, please says Joe), and they confirm Joe looks just like a chip off the old block, esp. in profile. And sounds like him too. It’s eerie. Listen to his voice on the cut Two Sisters.
