SO LONG JEROBOAM, HELLO DALLAS FISH MARKET

|

I think Mike Houqe, president of Dallas Restaurant Group, is on something. This guy is opening a new restaurant (Go Fish, Fish Express) every other day, or so it seems. Anywhoo, I just received word that he is set to debut Dallas Fish Market on July 18 in the old Jeroboam space at the Kirby Building downtown. His exec chef? Drum roll please. Houqe hooked Randy Morgan, whose resume includes stints at New York’s Russian Tearoom, Seattle’s Sazarac, Oceanaire (he opened the Dallas location), and the Microsoft Corporate headquarters in Redmond Washington, to run the show. Obviously fresh-fish-centric, Dallas Fish Market will also feature a sake room, a dining room with communal tables, private wine lockers, and banquet space for private parties. And now for something completely different.
