RE: RACK ‘EM

|

A perspective-keeping FrontBurnervian writes:

From what I can tell, here’s the City Council agenda on Important Issues of the Day:

1.       New Newspaper Racks Downtown.
2.       Turn off Downtown Lights Late at Night.
3.       Puppies are Cute!
4.       Blah
5.       Blah
6.       Blah
7.       Oh yeah, reduce crime. Mostly by juggling numbers.

I don’t know much about municipal government other than what I can infer from the hundreds of hours in college that I wasted spent learning via SimCity, but seems to me that my city government has its priorities way out of whack.

But as I told him, he’s overlooking the City Council’s brilliant strategy: If there are fewer newspapers to report crime–ping, ping, ping–there’s less crime.
