CHANNEL 8 PLAYS WITH DOLLS

|

Could this possibly be true? A TV-watching FBvian reports that they were using dolls to talk about the governor’s race:

Last night, at 5 or 6, John McCaa pitches to Brad Watson for a look at the governor’s race. Watson is standing there with a tabletop and four purported action figures of each of the candidates. I can only figure that the news director must have seen the Kinky action figure and decided, “Wow, what a cool bit.” So Watson starts doing this very SNL discussion of the four candidates, holding up in turn a Ken doll with a wig that was supposed to look like Rick Perry, a Barbie that had been given gray hair and glasses to resemble Carole Keeton Rylander Strayhorn, etc., etc. He wraps each segment by holding the respective doll in front of a picture of the Capitol. And the final word goes to the Kinky doll, which, being the only actual action figure, says something typically Kinky like “What’s my plan? I don’t know.”
