RE: BOFFO BIG D PICTURES

|

With thanks to Ryan for bringing in her camera and sending along the images, here are a few selections from last night (open each image in a new window if you’d like to enlarge it):

Ryan needs a little work on composition and lighting, but this gives you a sense of the mayhem at Gilley’s. I am told that more than 2,000 people were up in the joint. In the background, you’ll see a trapeze woman. In the foreground, you’ll see a guy checking his digital camera to make sure he got a good picture of same.

stilts[2].jpg
What you’ve got here is a stilt walker. One of these guys reportedly fell while trying to walk up a ramp to get to the VIP area. It took five people to pull him up, and, thankfully, he was okay.

This is Ryan standing next to an, um, whatever that thing is. They kind of stood around on the dance floor and writhed. This was before Ryan started moonwalking and kicking white balloons. But note the suspicious stains already deposited near the hem of her dress.

Meet Otgo Waller. She’s from Mongolia, and she’s very bendy. And strong. I talked to her after her performance. Really nice lady. Here are some better pics of what she does.

animals.jpg
I made a mistake earlier. I said my friend had slept with one of the Body Art Ball tigers. But they obviously weren’t tigers; they were leopards. Note the unfortunate crotch shot of the lone male leopard. Sorry, dude.

showgirls.jpg
Again, not stripperrs. Go-go dancers. Or showgirls. Or, if you prefer, plain old G-string-sporting terpsichorean entertainers. One can only imagine what went on backstage between that leopard and those ladies.

From left to right: Laura, some jackass in a white tux, and the not-terribly-stain-resistant Ryan.
