Dubya spoke yesterday to the N.A.A.C.P. and called Dr. Anthony T. Evans of Dallas a friend. Evans is the senior pastor at the massive Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. If I were Evans–and I’m not; I spend too many Sunday mornings golfing–I’d advise Bush, as a friend, to talk with the N.A.A.C.P. more often than once every six years. But that’s just me.
