The left wing lock, I mean the Stanley Cup, now lives in North Carolina. As a thirty-year veteran of the game, I admit the Oiler-Hurricane series was one for the books. Last night’s game was a thriller. (Ref should have called a penalty shot in the first period.) The Oiler’s got some great breaks but didn’t capitalize. Call me a Hockey Geezer, but other than Rod Brind’ Amour and Bret Hedican, I wasn’t familiar with any other ‘Canes. I guess I’m just not ready for Red Neck Hockey. My good friend Roger “Mr. Neutral Zone Trap” Neilson just rolled over in his grave. One more dig: Chris Pronger should have been MVP.
