SAFE AND UNSAFE

|

I know we’ve already commented on Dallas’ latest ranking as the 5th unsafest city in its population group. But I find it interesting in looking over the lists that four Texas cities rank among the Top Ten Safest Cities (with populations above 500,000): El Paso, Austin, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. Couldn’t we just ask them how they do it?

One FrontBurnervian noted to me that two of the safest cities–El Paso at #2 and San Antonio at #8–have majority Hispanic populations. Is that a coincidence or is there something cultural there that bodes well for us?
