Wine Down Wednesday and Double Happy Hour at State and Allen Lounge
We drink so much wine we might as well insert a Pinot Noir IV into our arms. (Please e-mail us if that’s really possible.) That’s why we love State and Allen Lounge, especially on Wednesday night. Wine is 25% off, and for those who aren’t into sharing a bottle with us (lame), domestic beers are $2 and wells are $3 from 3–7 pm and 10 pm–midnight. Bonus: you can’t beat the people watching on the patio.

Neighborhood Night at Dragonfly
We don’t live in Uptown, but we hang out there so much we might as well be residents. Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa has a special on Thursday night that we love called Neighborhood Night. From 5 pm until close, beer, wine, well drinks, and appetizers are just $5. Live music from Reality Bites rounds out the fun (and relatively cheap) night out.

31st Annual Greenville St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Last year we heard a rumor that you worked instead of going to the Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This information surprised us. No. 1: we thought you were fun. No. 2: we thought you enjoyed drinking with hundreds of your closest friends. No. 3: we thought you got laid off from that job. Don’t make the same mistake this year. Join the crowd for an all-day party with live music, plenty of food and drinks, and a wacky parade. Mar 13, all day. Greenville Avenue.
St. Paddy’s at the LIbrary Bar
All month, the Library Bar at the Warwick Melrose is offering Irish-themed food (think pasties and shepherd’s pie), green Harp, and Irish drinks such as Irish Mint Kiss with Bailey’s and crème de menthe. Mar 1–31.
St. Paddy’s Party on the Patio
The fountain at Central 214 flows green for this party, featuring Irish music, green beer, and nibbles like hot dogs and grilled brats. $25. 11 am-4:30 pm.
TUESDAY, MARCH 16
March Madness at Lakewood’s 1st & 10. For us, March madness usually involves some kind of crash diet and countless hours of Facebook stalking our ex. For most of the rest of the country, it means countless hours spent watching college basketball. Lakewood’s 1st & 10 is a great spot to do this in. The bar has HDTV’s, awesome bar food (hello, Point burger!), 35 kinds of beer, and specials all the time. Go, whoever. 11 am–2 am.
SUNDAY, MARCH 28
Dog Day Sundays at Lee Harvey’s. Lee Harvey’s is one of our favorite spots. We’re not sure if it’s our dog’s fave or not. But we’re going to find out during Dog Day Sundays at Lee Harvey’s. Furry friends can run around and sniff each other (only neutered pets, please) while owners mingle and drink $2.50 beer and well drinks all day. 3 pm–2 am.
