If you’ve already had a shiny gold tube of this beauty goodness, it’s likely you’re already hooked. If not, listen up. Lisa Martensen, interior designer, mommy, and makeup artist (super woman, in other words) has something to say: yes, Yves Saint Laurent’s famed Touche Éclat pen is really all it’s cracked up to be. The highlighter/concealer is her absolute favorite for photo shoots, everyday, and mornings following sleepless nights. “There are lots of imitators, but this is the original,” Martensen says. The formula is water based for smudge-free wear without creasing, transparent, allowing natural skin to peek through, and luminous, but not at all shimmery. Use under eyes (tip: make a triangle shape onto the cheekbones) and around the nose to conceal and brighten. Make it multitask by applying on lids as a primer before eyeshadow and around lips to keep lipstick from bleeding. Available for $40 at YSL counters and at Sephora. Don’t know your color? Use the shade finder.
