Not every historic home in Oak Cliff is a charmer, but thanks to artist Eric Mancini, one long-standing eye sore just became a whole lot cooler.
This spring, the Denton native and 42 Mural contributor was enlisted by local developers to turn the old Kemp House on Melba Street into a work of art. Five days and 70 cans of spray paint later, the 1,200-square-foot home was made picture-perfect for Bishop Arts’ Brew Fest in May and local Instagram users throughout the summer.
Bedecked in Mancini’s signature pattern (what the artist refers to as “controlled chaos”), the Bishop Arts house will be on display for a limited time before the property gets developed, so grab those iPhones and get to snapping.
