Make Vintage Cocktails at The Joule Next Sunday

Get in the spirit.

Remember that cool little bar cart that started rolling around The Joule this year? You know the one—it serves craft cocktails using Tom Dixon’s sleek bar accessories. Well now that hip little cart will be accompanied once a month by a “cartender” (natch) who can teach you how to make a bespoke cocktail or two on your own.

The $99 hands-on lessons will be held in the Taschen Library from 4:30-6:30pm every second Sunday, and is accompanied by a two-course seasonal menu that includes quail scotch eggs and black-eyed pea hummus. The cocktail menu we’ve seen includes a bevy of tasty sips inspired by vintage recipes (and one called a Knickerbocker that goes as far back as 1862), that the aforementioned “cartender,” Ian Reilly, will walk you through while sharing a few expert tips for how to pull them off at home.

To help you mentally prep for the class (which requires an RSVP to [email protected]), we’re rounding up a few locally sourced bar carts that could get anyone in the spirit.
