Do you like to home ogle? Do you like driving by houses and thinking to yourself, “I’ve been in there. Their indoor hot tub was quite appealing”? Do you actually need to find a new home to live in? Every other week, I scout out three open houses in three different neighborhoods that look well worth the trip.

2845 Lee Avenue | Open Sunday from 2 – 4pm

The Neighborhood: Old East Dallas

The Price: $800,000

Why It Looks Cool: It’s always interesting to look at modern homes, especially one as sleek and stunning as 2845 Lee Avenue. The Old East Dallas home calls to mind every truly swanky hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s got a cool effortlessness that could easily inspire a life as streamlined and efficient as its well-designed interior.

6612 Lakeshore Drive | Open Sunday from 3:30 – 5pm

The Neighborhood: Lakewood

The Price: $849,000

Why It Looks Cool: It’s not always easy to find a house that’s as charming on the inside as it appears from the curb, but this attractive little Lakewood home with its teal-colored front door inspires me to keep believing. Every inch of 6612 Lakeshore Drive gives me the kind of warm and fuzzies that only a truly welcoming home can elicit.

3637 Southwestern Boulevard | Open Sunday from 2 – 4pm

The Neighborhood: University Park

The Price: $3,249,900

Why It Looks Cool: This Park Cities home is hot off the presses. Seriously, it was just recently completed this spring, and it definitely has that brand new house look (you can practically smell the fresh paint), but in the best way possible. The finishes are gorgeous, the appliances are state of the art, and the white carpet looks pristine (and soft) enough to sleep on.
