Interior designer Jessica McIntyre has recently moved her design digs from Arlington to her new studio and shop in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie Boulevard. Jessica, a Parsons The New School for Design grad, started her design biz in 2008 after stints at two lighting design firms. She opened her retail store and studio in November of 2011 to accommodate client meetings and offer up some of her favorite goods to walk-in shoppers, as well. At the time, she and her husband were living in Dallas, but considering a relocation to Fort Worth. The Arlington location happened to be her home town and it served as the perfect “middle” point to run her business. Shortly after, she and her hubby made the move to Fort Worth and her design business—and her family—started to grow. Jessica yearned to be closer to home and shorten the commute to her store. When the perfect location “on the bricks” in the Camp Bowie District opened up, she quickly jumped at the chance to relocate. “Camp Bowie is a long-standing hot spot in Fort Worth for retail and restaurant establishments—places I have been visiting for years. It is the perfect location for my business and it’s a mile from my home! Doesn’t get better than that,” she says.

Jessica doesn’t stock anything in the store she wouldn’t personally put in her home. “My criteria is ‘Would I want that in my house?’ If it’s a yes, I feel comfortable putting it on the floor,” she says. You can visit the store now at 4003 Camp Bowie Blvd. You can visit her on the web here, here, and here.
