The 12 Days of Gifting: Stella Dallas

We’re kicking off the 12 Days of Gifting on the D Home blog today. Haven’t you ever wondered what it would be like to hire a personal shopper to help you with the overwhelming-but-always-fun task of shopping for the holidays? Well, consider us just that. Disclaimer: If you shop with us, you’ll need to learn to love Bravo, singing competition television shows, Pinot Noir, and Coors Light (if you don’t already do, of course). Every day through December 21 we’re asking a local shop owner to recommend a fabulous gift. No matter which gifting holiday you celebrate, you’re sure to find the perfect item for everyone on your list. (Not to mention the gorgeous gift guide we’ve got going on in the November/December issue of the magazine.) First up we’ve got Amber Frazee from Stella Dallas.

Gift recommendation: Husky throw in Pink from Missoni Home

Price: $435 (But, if your readers mention they saw us on your blog, they’ll receive a 10% discount!)

Why do you recommend this gift? I love all of Missoni Home’s colorful throws, but this one is especially gorgeous.  The colors are rich and beautifully textured, without being overpowering to a room’s color palette—very important when you are buying for someone else!  The way the Husky throw is woven, it almost has a tartan effect, which is always a classic. Lastly, even though it is made of 100 percent wool, it has a very light, airy feel that is perfect for Texas’ mild winter. Don’t tell anyone, but I already bought this one as an early Christmas present to myself!

Who should I buy this for? This gift is great for anyone who loves to spend a little quality time at home, curled up on the sofa with a good movie and cup of hot cocoa, or just taking a nap on a lazy Sunday. The Husky throw has a permanent spot on our sofa for such occasions!
