Electrify Your Next Meal with the Astrolab Dining Table by Roche Bobois

Special thanks to my friend, events maven Liz Johnstone, for bringing this incredibly engineered Astrolab dining table by Roche Bobois to my attention. (Gizmodo wrote about it today, too.) In addition to being really gorgeous, it’s also kind of magical. Let’s say you’re having a dinner party for six. But then those six people turn out to be rather rude and each invite a friend or two to come along. You’ll be able to say, “The more the merrier!” while you dazzle all the extra people with the two motorized extension leaves operated by a visible cog system. By the time the show’s over, it won’t even matter what you’re serving for supper!
