Body Found Near Creek May Be Missing Former Assistant Police Chief. Gregory Holliday, 63, hadn’t been seen for six days when a body was discovered Saturday matching his description. Investigators indicated that Holliday, reportedly suffering from depression, had left his North Dallas home on foot at 2 p.m. last Monday and was hit by a car around 4:15 p.m. after wandering into the road at Frankford and Midway. He left the scene before police officers arrived. Dallas Police issued a “critical missing” alert for the former police executive that evening.

After failing to wed T-Mobile (that bid was $39 billion), AT&T refused to be a bridesmaid to the massive Comcast-Time Warner merger for long. The deal is pending federal approval, of course, but Mark Cuban thinks “it would be good for all involved.” So, mazel.
Girl Drowns in Balch Springs Pond. This is very sad. A 10-year-old girl drowned in a park pond Sunday night. Police and firefighters responded to reports of a child drowning around 6:25 p.m. The child was found at the bottom of the pond and airlifted to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, where she was pronounced dead.
Track-Suited Adventures Continue at CRMA 2014. I’m filling in for Cristina this morning. The majority of the D Magazine editorial staff, plus sales, art, marketing, and audience development folks, have made it to D.C., against, apparently, all odds. If you follow any of these guys on various forms of social media—you should, because there’s nothing like seeing at least three versions of the same picture in a row and getting to psychoanalyze the wildly different choices of filter—you will notice that yes, those red-orange track suits have made a reappearance. And in Tim’s case, I’m not really sure he’s taken it off at all. So far, Michael J. Mooney has beat everyone at pinball and won a $20 bet against Tim. The actual awards are tomorrow.
