It’s hard to believe it’s that time again, but it is: KRLD Restaurant Week 2012 kicks off this Friday with 59 restaurants participating in a preview weekend (10-12). Next Monday, August 13, the real Restaurant Week begins and many participants have added extensions from August 20 until September 2. There are over 125 restaurants participating in various lengths of the event. Some are offering prix fixe lunch menus. Presenting sponsor Central Market will feature in-store chef demonstrations and samples from participating restaurants. If you make a purchase of $25 or more at any Central Market location, July 16-Sept 2, while supplies last, you will receive a certificate redeemable for a free fourth course valid at participating Restaurants. As usual, for each $35 prix fixe dinner, the respective restaurant donates $7 to either the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas or Lena Pope Home in Fort Worth.

SideDish will have a post everyday for you to file your reports and reviews of your experiences. We also urge you to shoot photos and take down the names of servers who serve you well. Remember, they are working harder for a smaller check total. Tip them well. Lots of places still have reservations waiting for you. Go.
