When I Went: April 23-27, 2013
Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? It was a great time for a visit! The Flower & Garden festival was in full swing and the topiaries and flowers were in full bloom. The crowds were manageable and school was in session. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves when we could.
Why I Went There: My daughter is 2 1/2 and has a princess obsession at this age. I wanted to give her a girls-only trip focused on princess experiences before she has a new sister come along in the fall!
Who Went With Me? My mom and my daughter. My husband stayed at home.

We Stayed Here: Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter
You Won’t Want to Miss: Everything–it’s too difficult to give a world of advice without having a complete website. The new additions to the park are great, and don’t ever miss the Food & Wine Festival in the fall! Great time for adults to go.
Eat Here: Yachtsman Steakhouse for good food and ambiance and Kona Cafe for breakfast or dinner–it’s all good!
Play Here: The parks, the shopping, all of it.
If I Went Again: Unfortunately, my daughter came down with the stomach virus on the last 24 hours of our trip. We were prisoners in the hotel on our last day as she continued to get sick. I would only change this, of course, and wish it would have turned out differently!
How Did You Get There From Dallas? We used Spirit Air for the first time. They were acceptable and if the price and flight times were right, we may use them again.
Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: We go to WDW frequently (every 1-3 years), but my husband and I love to travel anywhere we can.
