Cool Class Alert: Fabric Dyeing at Oil and Cotton

Make your own blue-and-white works of art.

Shibori is an ancient Japanese term for dyeing cloth. Using natural dyes like indigo, the technique produces blue tones on cotton and silk fabrics. Similar to tie-dye, it involves binding, twisting, folding, and compressing. Instructor Sarita Westrup will lead this class in dyeing tea towels and handkerchiefs. Sign up fast—this workshop is limited to a small number of participants.
