Searching through the D Home archives can provide a lot of inspiration when it comes to furnishing (or dreaming about) your home. My most recent exploration was for a story for our January/February issue, and I noticed one thing: there have been a lot of black walls featured in our magazine.

I first fell in love with this trend when interviewing the creative team behind Timothy Oulton. While black walls sound a little scary and gothic, I promise you this look can provide a whole lot of drama (in a good way) when done correctly. To see for yourself, check out our slideshow of all the rooms we’ve featured with dark-hued walls.
