Dallas-based Emergicon Expands to Accommodate Growth

|

Dallas-based ambulance billing services company Emergicon has opened a new facility in Gun Barrel City.

President and CEO Christopher Turner formed the company in 2006.

“We know the more reimbursement we secure for our clients, the more revenue they have to spend on important municipal programs or, in the case of our private clients, better equipment and more staff,” he said in a statement. “I’m excited to see we’re making a difference in the communities we serve.”

Coppell EMS Chief Gregg Loyd said that since hiring Emergicon, the city’s cash receipts for ambulance services are up by more than 180 percent from the previous year. The company bills more than 100,000 runs each year for its growing list of 40 Texas-based clients, Emergicon reports.
