Photographer Jason Janik caught a member of the Dallas Police Department’s mounted patrol as he watched over fairgoers. Dallas has had a mounted patrol unit since 1982, and they’re stationed at Fair Park year round. Fun fact: The horse walks at a speed of 3 to 5 miles per hour.
