Did you vote today? Cheers to doing your civic duty.

And cheers to Fat Tuesday. Here are some edible ways to celebrate that, right over on SideDish. Sundown at the Granada is also having a Mardi Gras party, featuring the band Club Wood, drink specials, and jambalaya.

The official good ship Lorde has long since sailed, but StubHub still has many tickets available, starting at the low, low price of $76 for a GA spot. In a strange twist, here’s Bruce Springsteen covering “Royals,” a song I sincerely hope not to hear again soon. While normally I’d suggest Cedars Social for pre or post South Side Ballroom concert drinks, I confess I haven’t been back since this mess. I’m failing you, I know. CBD Provisions, however, is also not so far away. And it is delicious, according to our Nancy Nichols.

Other musical offerings this evening include Com Truise, which gives me the chance to bust out my beloved Handbook to Literature for the first time since freshman year of college when I dropped my English major for an even more useful pursuit: writing plays. Spoonerisms are fun. Anyway, producer Seth Haley will fill Dada tonight with his lyricless synthwave.

Finally, there’s a fun sort of fundraiser at Craft and Growler, in which every beer you buy benefits the nonprofit Kikulu Foundation, dedicated to education of women and children in Uganda and the United States. The proceeds from this evening will go to the children’s school in Uganda. There will also be card games and board games and maybe a few food trucks nearby.
