DFW Restaurant Week/Month will come to a close this weekend. There are still restaurants offering the special menu. They are listed here.

Last Friday the D Magazine Celebrity X Cruises Baked in Alaska tour ended in Seattle. I went to dinner at The Walrus and the Carpenter, one of chef Renee Erickson’s four Seattle spots, and I bumped into many of my fellow passengers stuffing their bellies with fresh oysters, steak tartare, steamed clams, rustic bread, and salads made from just-picked produce and berries.

Have any of you managed to get out and try a new restaurant, in or out of town, or visit an old favorite?  We’d love to read about your experience.

The kids are back and school and you’re going to have to back up all of your white shoes soon. So get out there and eat. Here’s a little song (and video) to help get you psyched.
