Moms We Love: Ryan Conner

|

Who she is: Ryan Conner, editor at D Magazine

Why we love her: She manages to handle new motherhood (baby Claire is 4 months old today) with style, humor, and an admirable lack of angst. I sit across from her at work and regularly marvel at how laid back and cool she is (at which time I’m also painfully reminded of how uptight and uncool I was when my own girlies were 4 months old).

Herewith a peek into Ryan’s world… Enjoy!

On heavy rotation — Beach House for Claire’s bath time. The National and Delta Spirit are on heavy rotation. Guilty pleasure: Beyonce.

On your nightstand —  Currently (and slowly) reading Bringing up Bebe. I love nothing more than perusing the shelter and foodie blogs in my iPad Feeddler RSS Reader.

Always in your handbag — I carry my Marc by Marc Jacobs diaper bag everywhere. Along with Aden + Anais burp cloths and bibs, I always have Mac’s Prrr lipgloss, Ray-Ban aviators, and a camera on-hand.

Go-to outfit — The BDG denim shirt is my go-to. I have several that I pair with colored skinny jeans, black leggings, tribal print shorts… Everything. I’m also obsessed with my Ashley Pittman horn and bronze-plated bangles.

No-brainer restaurant (for date night and with kiddos in tow) — We love Blue Fish for their tuna tower and baby-friendly wait staff. Our last date night was at Driftwood. I can’t stop thinking about the fried cauliflower.
