Trademark Property Co. has announced a multi-million dollar renovation of The Shops at Highland Village, a 352,000-square-foot shopping center at FM 2499 and FM 407. Plans call for upgraded common areas, landscaping, amenities, new facades, and signage.
CEO Terry Montesi said the center is “on a great trajectory,” with recent opening of Whole Foods, Grimaldi’s, and The Pilates Barre. “We want to keep our core customers happy, and attract new visitors and tenants, and give people reasons to visit,” he said.
The redevelopment plan is the result of a design “charrette” Trademark conducted last summer with architects, on-site management, and city officials.
The Shops at Highland Village is owned by AEW Capital Management and operated by Trademark. Along with Whole Foods, other anchors include an AMC movie theater, and Barnes & Noble Booksellers. Other tenants include 11 restaurants and 60 specialty shops.
