Forget the heat. This weekend will offer plenty in the way of fun, including 50 Cent, Jodeci, SWV, Pat Benatar, and more.

50 Cent

August 25, 6:30 p.m.| Dos Equis Pavilion

True story: I was an embarrassing amount of years old before I realized what the lyrics to “Candy Shop” meant, which means I am probably exactly the target market for 50 Cent. The rapper says this is his final big tour, which is why it’s named The Final Lap Tour. He’ll be joined by Busta Rhymes and Jeremih. Get tickets

Granger Smith

August 25 and 26| Billy Bob’s Texas, Fort Worth

Granger Smith hit the top of the country charts in 2016 with “Backroad Song,” and continued to churn out chart toppers ever since. He became a minister and announced in April that he would be leaving country music to focus on his church in Austin, so this may be one of the last chances to catch him, unless you want to hit a pew. His Friday night show is sold out, but Billy Bob’s says there are still a few Saturday tickets left.  Get tickets

Pat Benatar

August 26, 8 p.m.| Texas Trust Credit Union Theater, Grand Prairie

Pat Benatar and her husband and guitarist, Neil Giraldo, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. On Saturday, they’ll head to Grand Prairie. She’s also, according to Texas’ junior senator, the “embodiment of demonic evil.” Expect to hear plenty from a catalog that spans 1979 to present, and includes “Shadows of the Night,” “Love Is a Battlefield,” and “Heartbreaker.” Get tickets

Please Don’t Destroy

August 27, 7 p.m.| The Factory in Deep Ellum

Comedy trio Please Don’t Destroy will head to Deep Ellum Sunday night to bring their brand of absurdist sketch comedy to Dallas. John Higgins, Ben Marshall, and John Herlihy are also Saturday Night Live writers and frequently appear on the show in digital shorts like “Good Variant” “Three Sad Virgins,” “The Stakeout,” and “Hard Seltzer,” so expect plenty of slightly unhinged antics that make you vaguely uncomfortable about laughing. Get tickets

Jodeci and SWV

August 27, 7:30 p.m.| Toyota Music Factory, Irving

What better way to celebrate a Summer Block Party Tour than performing in Texas during the middle of a heat wave? Nineties legends Jodeci, SWV, and Dru Hill (yes, yes, all of them, including “Thong Song” guy Sisqo) will get an extremely warm welcome at their Irving stop, which is one of 21 in the tour. Get tickets
