We asked Dallas tastemakers for their seasonal staples—those items that, for them, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without. Krane Home founder Sharon Lee shares her favorites.
Favorite place to buy gifts: Neiman Marcus while sipping on a split of champagne from their vending machine! They also have the best gift wrapping.
Favorite hostess gift: Diptyque Paris’ “Feu de Bois” candle because it smells like a cozy, crackling fire
Favorite wrapping paper ribbon: I’ve been known to wrap presents in my wallpaper remnants, and I like Samuel and Sons trim as ribbon.
Best place to buy a holiday party outfit: I’m a huge fan of Dillard’s! I always find bright colors and plenty of sparkle.
Go-to source for holiday tabletop and serving pieces: Kimberly’s team at ShopKSW.com will curate a tablescape and do local delivery with a bow on top!
Go-to holiday spirit: Perrier-Jouët Champagne. I also love how festive the bottle is.
Go-to bottle of wine for the holidays: Sanford Chardonnay
Favorite holiday sweet treat: Bird Bakery has the yummiest vanilla cupcakes. I’m going to do a cupcake tower this year! Also the Cinnamon Rolls at Empire Bakery! I pick them up freshly baked a few times a week–they’re so good.
Dish your holiday spread is incomplete without: Homemade latticed apple pie, baked by yours truly
Favorite holiday tunes: I love listening to country music stations during the holidays.
Favorite holiday flick: Home Alone. That house was so amazing!
Favorite holiday scent: Frederic Malle’s “Cafe Society” room spray
Go-to sources for holiday decor: NorthPark Mall! I especially love Williams Sonoma.
Must have holiday decor item: A beautiful wreath on the front door with vintage velvet ribbon added to make it unique
Your favorite holiday tradition: Decorating one of the trees with antique tea cups and saucers from my mother’s collection
Best place to see holiday lights: University Park, but I’m biased!
Favorite holiday event in Dallas: University Park Santa Tracker
