When I Went: Sep. 23- Sep. 28, 2011

Was That the Best Time of Year to Go? I feel it was because it was the fall and the weather was great.

Why I Went There: I saw on a study abroad program learning about the culture of South Africa and getting the opportunity to see what the country was like. It was a truly phenomenal place.

Who Went With Me? I went with many other students from the United States and around the world.

We Stayed Here: I stayed on the ship we were on a few nights, but also stayed at a hostel in the backpackers district one night, which was really cool.

You Won’t Want to Miss: They should visit the District Six Museum, the Cape of Good Hope, walk around Cape Town and take in the scenery, check out Mitchell’s Brewery, one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Table Mountain, and the V&A Waterfront mall and the services that are around the area along with Camps Bay Beach, which is a great place to get some sun and fun!

Eat Here: Go and make sure to eat at the restaurants along the V&A waterfront, check out Cafe Caprice at Camps Bay beach that serve legit mojitos and a killer burger.

Play Here: Play in the water at Camps Bay, catch a soccer game at the stadium, and hike up Lion Head or Table Mountain, or check out an awesome safari.

If I Went Again: I would venture out of Cape Town and check out other cities in South Africa such as Johannesburg, and other cities there, too.

How Did You Get There From Dallas? You can get there by plane or cruise ship.

Other Tips For Fellow Travelers: It is beautiful, and I would go back in a split second and I recommend this to everybody.
