John Tesar has a lot of irons in the fire. After service tomorrow night. Spoon will not be one of them. “Due to my recent successes, I have had a lot of recent opportunities come my way which includes television, books, and other restaurants,” Tesar says. “I’ve amicably parted ways with my current partners, Chanticleer Holdings, Inc., to pursue different objectives separately. Tesar will be moving Spoon to a different location to be announced at a later date. and formed my own company. Spoon is not going away, I will eventually relocate it.”
Spoon has been open for two years and three months. “I will reopen it in January 2016,” Tesar says. “It will be in a hotel situation very similar to Knife.”
I’ve heard Tesar’s long-term plans and to say they are ambitious is an understatement. He is looking into opening an Italian restaurant–dare you to guess the name–in Spring 2015. If you guessed Fork, go to the head of the class.
