An industrious, courteous blogger highlights seven CEOs with huge perks and suggests how to reallocate some of that money. Included is i2’s head honcho:
i2 CEO Michael McGrath gets $942,000 in travel expenses to commute from his home in Maine to the IT company’s offices in Dallas: McGrath gets a $248 Grankulla/Munkarp sofabed … from the Frisco, Texas Ikea so he can spend the night at his office during the work week, and the remaining $941,752 are distributed among the employees to go either towards a really fancy bicycle or covering comutting costs via public transportation.
Not bad.
Update: A friendly FrontBurnervian says the info Listicles cites is very, very old:
I saw your post about i2’s CEO travel expenses from yesterday. I realize you were just copying from Listicles, but I wanted to give you the heads up that Michael McGrath hasn’t served as i2’s CEO since August 2007. The CNBC video Listicles referred to is pretty old.
Apologies.
