THE LAND REPORT LANDS IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

|

Well, well, well. Our little startup magazine called The Land Report got itself pretty substantial play in the Wall Street Journal today, in a story about why rich people like to own land. We’re talking page B1. Here’s the free preview, for non-subscribers. The money shot comes a bit deeper in the story:

The owners of the Dallas-based Land Report LLC, publisher of the magazine, believe the phenomenon merits monthly coverage. With a circulation of 40,000, The Land Report is distributed free to 30,000 of the nation’s largest landowners and to some 10,000 industry professionals, such as real-estate brokers.

“There is an enormous niche that was completely underserved,” says Eric O’Keefe, the magazine’s editor.

I’m told by my colleagues down the hall that Ted Turner ordered copies for each of his 30 or so properties. Nice.
